RVGather gives you several ways to build, organize, and share an RV trip. In this video, we create a new trip, add the first stop from the map, review a finished trip, and share selected stops with friends.
Your RVGather dashboard can be organized around the way you travel.
Drag blocks to change their order, expand or collapse them as you scroll, and hide blocks you do not currently need. Hidden blocks can be restored at any time from the shortcut menu in the upper-right corner.
That menu also lets you jump directly to any dashboard block.
You can use the search bar at the top of the dashboard to quickly find related tools. Enter Trips, and RVGather will display the blocks associated with trip planning.
AI assistance is optional. When enabled, you can ask the assistant to help you navigate RVGather, find what you need, or complete supported tasks. The assistant is still being trained, with new tools and capabilities being added regularly.
The dashboard is one way to begin. You can also manage trips from the main navigation.
Select Trips from the left navigation menu.
This opens the Trips drawer, where you can manage existing trips or begin planning a new one.
Select New in the upper-right corner. From here, you can:
Create a new trip
Add a stop to an existing trip
Copy stops from another trip
Import a trip from another service or spreadsheet
For this example, select Create a New Trip.
Enter a name, choose the departure date, and set the trip range or projected end date.
Under More Options, set the trip status to:
Planning
Active
Archived
Select Create Trip, and you are ready to begin adding stops.
RVGather provides several ways to build a trip.
The List view shows each stop in order. The Map view lets you find locations and add stops directly from the map. The advanced Grid view is useful when comparing multiple possibilities for each part of the trip.
For this walkthrough, we begin in Map view.
Select Create New Stop to open the map tools.
From Map Layers, choose the park networks and location types you want to display. You can include campground networks, overnight parking locations, independent campgrounds, and private locations you add yourself.
You can also save these selections as presets. For example, a TT Encore preset can quickly display only Thousand Trails and Encore locations.
Open Map Search and select List Nearby. Set the distance you are comfortable traveling between stops, choose a campground, and set the date range for your stay.
A stop can be marked as:
Target for a location you are considering
Booked for a confirmed reservation
You can also enable device push alerts, in-app notifications, or both.
Once created, the new stop appears in the trip and on the map.
A completed trip provides a full overview of your route and stops.
You can move through the trip using Next and Previous, select a stop from the navigation bar, or use the date ranges at the top to jump to a specific portion of the trip.
The trip summary includes details such as:
Total distance
Estimated driving time
Number of stops
Estimated fuel cost
You can also see the distance and estimated drive time between individual stops.
Select the Print icon to generate a printable PDF itinerary for the entire trip.
Sharing controls let you choose who can see the trip and which individual stops are included. This makes it possible to share most of a route with a friend while keeping family visits or private stops hidden.
Once the sharing settings are updated and the itinerary is printed, your trip is ready to use.
RVGather helps you do more than map a route. It gives you a flexible place to compare options, organize reservations, share selected stops, and make it easier to meet friends along the way.
