Explanation of why we can't pull your Thousand Trails reservations automatically
By Procrasticamper Team · March 6, 2026
We'd love to connect directly to Thousand Trails and pull your reservations in one click. Unfortunately, their member portal doesn't offer a public API, and directly accessing it on your behalf would violate their Terms of Service. So instead, we built a set of manual export options that let you pull the data and hand it to us.
Most modern services expose something called an API — a secure doorway that lets authorized third-party apps request data on a user's behalf (think "Sign in with Google," or how your fitness app syncs with Apple Health). Thousand Trails doesn't currently offer this for reservation data.
The alternative — having our servers log in to their site and scrape the page for you — would:
Violate their Terms of Service. Most member portals explicitly prohibit automated access or scraping in their ToS. Building that kind of connector would put us (and potentially our users) at legal risk.
Break frequently. Scrapers break whenever a site updates its HTML. We'd be playing catch-up every few months.
Require storing your login credentials. We'd have to keep your Thousand Trails username and password on our servers, which is a security risk we're not willing to take.
We give you three simple ways to export the data yourself and upload it:
Save as HTML — the most complete option
Save as PDF — great if HTML doesn't parse well in your browser
Copy and paste — quickest for a small number of trips

The process takes about two minutes for most members.
If Thousand Trails ever introduces an official API or a data-export feature for members, we'll be first in line to support it. We've looked at this carefully and the manual path is the right call for now.
In the meantime, we've made the manual path as painless as possible. And once your trips are in, everything from mapping to friend-timeline overlaps works automatically.
Use the Ask AI button on your dashboard and say something like "Help me import my Thousand Trails reservations." The assistant will walk you through whichever option works best for you.
