Reservation Sharing

Share your campground reservations with friends so they can see where you'll be staying and when.

Overview

Reservation Sharing lets you selectively share your campground bookings with friends. When you share a reservation, your friends can see which park you'll be at, your check-in and check-out dates, and your general status — giving them the info they need to plan around you or join you.

Why it matters

Coordinating RV trips with friends starts with knowing where everyone will be. Without shared reservations, you're stuck texting back and forth: "Where are you in March? What dates?" Sharing eliminates that friction and makes your plans visible to the people who matter.

How it works

When you create or view a reservation, you can choose to share it with specific friends or with all friends. Shared reservations appear on your friends' maps and timelines, clearly marked as a friend's booking. Friends can see the campground name, dates, and your name — but not private details like site number or cost. You can unshare at any time.

When to use it

  • Letting friends know you'll be at a popular coastal park next month so they can try to book nearby
  • Sharing your winter snowbird itinerary so travel friends can find overlap opportunities
  • Making your Thousand Trails bookings visible to friends in the same zone
  • Showing your travel group where you've committed to being during a planned caravan
