Group Drive Coordination
Coordinate caravan driving plans with RV friends traveling the same route together.
Overview
Group Drive Coordination helps RV friends who are driving the same route stay organized on travel days. Set departure times, plan fuel stops, establish a drive order, and keep everyone on the same page when multiple rigs are rolling down the highway together.
Why it matters
Caravanning with other RVs is fun but logistically tricky. Who leaves first? Where are we stopping for fuel? What's the plan if someone falls behind? Without a shared driving plan, the caravan turns into a string of confused phone calls. Drive coordination gives everyone the plan before wheels start turning.
How it works
For each travel day in a group trip, the organizer can set a departure time, planned fuel and rest stops along the route, a suggested drive order, and communication checkpoints. Participants confirm they've seen the plan and can flag issues. On travel day, the route and stops are visible to everyone. If someone needs to change plans, the group is notified.
When to use it
- Running a five-rig caravan from Texas to Colorado with planned fuel stops every 200 miles
- Coordinating departure times when your group needs to cross a mountain pass before afternoon winds
- Setting a drive order so the biggest rig leads and sets the pace
- Planning a rest stop at a truck stop with enough room for four 40-foot rigs
