Trip Comparison with Friends
Compare your trip schedule side by side with friends to find overlap opportunities and coordination points.
Overview
Trip Comparison puts your itinerary next to a friend's itinerary in a side-by-side view. You can instantly see where your routes cross, which campgrounds you'll both visit, and where date ranges overlap — making it easy to spot opportunities to meet up or travel together.
Why it matters
When two friends each have a multi-stop trip planned, figuring out where they intersect requires mentally cross-referencing two separate lists of dates and places. Trip comparison does that instantly, visually, and without errors. It turns "I think we might overlap somewhere in Utah" into "You'll both be at Zion from the 14th to the 18th."
How it works
Select a friend from your connections and choose their trip or current reservations to compare against yours. The system displays both itineraries on a shared timeline and map. Overlapping stays are highlighted, nearby-but-not-overlapping stops are flagged, and the comparison shows total overlap days. You can adjust your dates directly from the comparison view.
When to use it
- Comparing your fall trip through the Southwest with a friend's planned route to find meetup points
- Checking if your snowbird migration path crosses a friend's route anywhere
- Looking for campground overlaps to coordinate shared activities
- Evaluating whether adjusting a stop by two days would create a five-day overlap with a friend
