When you're about to book a campground, Reservation Planning Around Friends shows you which friends already have reservations there and when. Their booked dates appear on your booking calendar so you can pick dates that overlap — turning a solo stay into a meetup.
Why it matters
You're browsing campgrounds and find one you like. Wouldn't it be great to know that your friend is already booked there next month? Instead of booking random dates and hoping for overlap, you see exactly when friends will be present and can align your stay accordingly.
How it works
On the reservation creation screen, the calendar highlights date ranges where friends have shared bookings at that campground. Friend names and their date ranges appear alongside the calendar. You can pick your check-in and check-out dates with full awareness of who will be there and when. If no friends have bookings, the calendar shows normally.
When to use it
- Picking dates at a Thousand Trails park where three friends are already booked for different weeks
- Extending your stay by a few days to overlap with a friend arriving after you
