In-App Notifications
A unified in-app notification center for all app activity, alerts, friend updates, and trip changes.
Overview
In-App Notifications provide a single feed for everything that happens in ProcrastiCamper — booking alerts, friend requests, event invites, group updates, and system messages. Every notification is clickable and takes you directly to the relevant screen.
Why it matters
When you have reservation alerts, friend activity, group messages, and event updates happening across different parts of the app, it's easy to miss something important. A unified notification center ensures nothing falls through the cracks — especially time-sensitive booking alerts.
How it works
- All app events generate notifications: alerts firing, friends accepting invites, events created, reservations confirmed.
- Notifications appear in the bell icon at the top of the screen with an unread count badge.
- Tap the bell to open the notification feed, sorted by most recent.
- Each notification links to its source — tap to jump directly to the reservation, event, or friend profile.
- Mark individual notifications as read, or clear all at once.
When to use it
- You want a quick morning check of everything that happened overnight — new alerts, friend activity, event updates.
- A booking window alert fired while you were away and you need to act on it.
- A friend accepted your invite and you want to see their profile.
- You're managing multiple trips and want a single place to catch all updates.
