Avoid Weight Restrictions

Routes avoid roads with weight limits that exceed your RV's gross vehicle weight.

Overview

The routing engine steers you away from roads and bridges with posted weight limits below your vehicle's gross weight. No more worrying about whether a road can handle your rig.

Why it matters

Weight-restricted roads exist to protect infrastructure — and your safety. Driving over a weight limit can result in fines, bridge damage, or worse. Automatic weight avoidance keeps you legal and safe.

How it works

Your RV profile includes gross vehicle weight (and trailer weight if towing). The routing engine cross-references these against known weight restrictions along every potential route. Restricted roads are excluded automatically.

When to use it

  • You're driving a heavy Class A diesel pusher or loaded fifth wheel
  • You're towing a heavy trailer and need combined weight considered
  • You're planning routes through rural areas with aging infrastructure
  • You want peace of mind that every road on your route can handle your weight
