Setting Up Alerts

Setting Up Alerts

Alerts notify you before important reservation dates. Get a push notification or in-app reminder so you never miss a check-in, check-out, or booking opportunity.

Alert Types

Check-In Alert

Fires before your reservation check-in date. Useful for:

  • Remembering to confirm reservations
  • Planning travel to the campground
  • Coordinating arrival with friends

Check-Out Alert

Fires before your check-out date. Useful for:

  • Remembering departure day
  • Planning next destination
  • Settling campground payments

Availability Alert

Fires when a desired campground has availability (if monitoring is set up). Event-driven, not date-based.

Creating an Alert

  1. Open any reservation (tap it on the timeline, card, or spreadsheet)
  2. Scroll to the Alerts section
  3. Tap Add Alert
  4. Choose your timing:
    • 24 hours before
    • 3 days before
    • 1 week before
    • Custom — Enter any number of days (1-365)
  5. Set the notification time (e.g., 8:30 AM)
  6. Choose delivery method:
    • Push notification — Delivered to your device
    • In-app — Shows in the notifications bell
    • Both — Recommended

Push Notifications Required

For push alerts to work, you must allow notifications when prompted. On iOS, install the app to your home screen (PWA) first.

Managing Alerts

View All Alerts

Go to the Alerts page from the bottom navigation to see all your active and past alerts.

Enable / Disable

Each alert has an on/off toggle. Disabled alerts are preserved but won't fire.

Delete

Tap the trash icon on any alert card to permanently remove it.

Alert Card Format

Each alert card shows:

  • Alert type — Check-In or Check-Out
  • Timing — "24 hours before at 8:30 AM"
  • Date — The exact date the alert will fire (e.g., "on Dec 13, 2025")
  • Delivery method — Push, In-App, or Both
  • Status — On / Off toggle

Troubleshooting

Alerts not firing?

  1. Check that push notifications are enabled in your device settings
  2. Verify the alert is toggled on (not disabled)
  3. On iOS, make sure you installed the app to your home screen
  4. Check the Alert Service Status in settings for system health

Wrong time displayed?

Alert times are shown in your local timezone. If the time looks off, check your device's timezone settings.
